Have you noticed we’re getting a lot of brutally sharp reversals in the markets lately? It’s so frustrating because most traders get caught on the wrong side over and over again. So called safe trend trades get destroyed while betting on bold reversals is working like clockwork.
What’s going on?
For years, it was possible to just buy any dip in stocks and crank out winner after winner. But those days are long gone. If you try that now, you’ll burn through your account in the blink of an eye. These days’ trends reverse on a dime, but at the same time, you can’t just blindly pick tops and bottoms either.
Anyone who was short stocks recently learned that lesson the hard way when the market rocketed to new all time highs. The bottom line is that those outdated strategies no longer work. If you want to generate consistent profits in these volatile conditions, you’ve got to adapt. And that’s why this short video by renowned trader John F. Carter is so exciting
You’ve just got to see the breakthrough strategy that allows him to catch massive price swings without breaking a sweat.

If you haven’t heard of John before, he’s a best selling author and trader with over 25 years’ experience. He’s developed a world wide reputation for catching explosive trends in stocks, options, and even futures, too.
So I hope you attend on September 6th, 2016 at 7:00 PM Central for a special webinar called, “Hunting for Tops and Bottoms - Low Risk Setups for Trading Precise Turning Points in Any Market”.
Here’s just some of what you’ll learn....
* A simple 3 step process to identify major market turning points in any market
* How to find low risk, high probability trades in today's volatile market conditions
* Why it’s finally possible to catch tops and bottoms in real time on almost any chart
* Why these ‘Bold and Beautiful’ reversal trades can be safer than ‘comfortable’ trades
* How to avoid getting suckered into the costly traps that most traders fall into
* How to adapt your trades automatically for choppy conditions and big trends
* How to know when a support or resistance level is likely to hold or not
And that’s just the tip of the iceberg.
I’m looking forward to this special event and I expect I’ll be taking a lot of notes, too. There may not be a replay and this event will almost certainly fill to capacity – so register now and be sure to show up a few minutes early. Unless you’ve already mastered trading these volatile swings, this could be the most important training you attend this year.

Believe It or Not, It’s Happening to Gold
Last night as I was going over my charts and running my end of the day analysis the charts jumped out at me with a trade setup and wanted to share my cycle chart for gold with you. The price chart of gold below is exactly what my cycle analysis told us to look for last week WELL ahead of the today’s news and its things play out I as I feel they will then we stand to make some pretty good money as gold falls in value during the month of April.
If you have been following my work for any length of time then you know big price movements in the market like today (Tuesday, March 29th) based around the FED news ARE NOT and SHOULD NOT be of any surprise. In fact, this charts told use about today’s pop 2 weeks ago and we have been waiting for it ever since. The news is simply the best way to get the masses on board with market moves and gets them on the wrong side of the market before it makes a big move in the other direction, most times… not always, though.
Take a look at this chart below. You’ll see two cycle indicators, one pink and one blue. The pink cycle line is a cluster of various cycles blended together which allows us to view the overall market trend of biased looking forward 5 – 30 days. The blue cycle line is a cluster of much shorter time frame cycles in this tells us when we should expect strong moves in the same direction of the pink cycles or counter trend pullbacks within the trend.
One quick point to note with cycle trading is that the height and depth of the cycle does not mean the price will rise or fall to those levels, it simply tells us if the market has an upward or downward bias. The current cycle analysis for gold along with the current price is telling us that today the short term cycle topped which is the blue line and our main trend cycle is already heading lower. The odds favor gold should roll over and make new multi-month Lows in August.
In short, we have been waiting for gold to have a technical breakdown and to retrace back up into a short term overbought condition. Today Tuesday, March 29 it looks as though we finally have the setup. Over the next 5 to 15 days I expect gold to drop along with silver and gold stocks. There are many ways to play this through inverse exchange traded funds or short selling gold, silver or gold stocks.
This year and 2017 I believe are going to be incredible years for both traders and investors. If treated correctly, it can be a life changing experience financially for some individuals. Join my pre-market video newsletter and start your day with a hot cup of coffee and my market forecast video.

The Next Silver Bull May Have Already Started
By Laurynas Vegys
Silver is down 7.1% this year. Will this weakness persist? To find out, let’s look at the key factors in the silver market this year.- Like gold, silver fell as the US dollar rose on the back of expectations that the Fed will hike rates.
- World demand for physical silver fell 4% in 2014, largely due to a record 19.5% drop in investment demand.
- Silver exchange traded funds (ETFs) did not see big liquidations in 2014. ETF holdings grew by 1.4 million ounces and recorded their highest year end level at 636 million ounces.
Why did miners produce more silver when prices were falling? Because of:
- By-product metal. Around 75% of the silver mined is a by-product at gold or base metal mines. These producers will keep mining silver, almost regardless of price.
- Reduced cash costs. The primary silver producers have cut costs since they peaked in 2012. The main way miners do that is by boosting production to achieve economies of scale.
- Bull market hangover. Precious metals were in a major bull market from 2001 to 2011. Producers built a lot of mines in response. Nobody wants to pull the plug on a new mine that’s losing money if they think prices will go higher.
Supply
Demand
There was a big drop in investment demand last year: 19.5%. This tells us that most short-term investors and sellers have left the market. We don’t know any “silver bugs” who were selling. That means that today’s bullion is in stronger hands. And that means that any new buying will have a strong impact on prices.
But will there be buyers?
The Silver Institute expects more silver demand from investors this year. They say that the first half of 2015 sales of silver bars were the fifth highest on record.
Photovoltaics (PV) is another source of silver demand that many analysts expect to rise in 2015 and beyond. Global PV demand is set to increase by 30% in 2015, according to IHS analysts. China alone has plans to install 17 gigawatts of solar capacity by the end of the year.
The solar industry consumes a small amount of silver compared to jewelry and other electronics. Yet, if PV demand delivers in 2015, it will become the third-largest source of fabrication demand for silver.
Wildcard: Tesla plans to put batteries big enough to power a house in every home. What happens if that takes root is anyone’s guess… but it will be big. Really big. And the impact on demand for silver would be just as huge.
The Deficit
The Dollar and the Fed
Many investors seem convinced that the Fed will raise interest as soon as September. We view this as unlikely at this stage. Yes, tightening US monetary policy would propel the dollar to new highs. But an even stronger dollar would mean slicing billions off the US GDP; not exactly a desirable situation from the standpoint of the Fed given the sluggish growth of the economy. We think the Fed could delay raising rates until 2016. It might even stop talking about rate hikes indefinitely. Each delay, the dollar will get whacked, and that’s good for precious metals.
On the other hand, if the Fed does nudge rates higher this year, it would likely dampen the stock market. That would increase demand for silver and gold. This could push silver prices much higher, given the small size of the market.
The Gold-Silver Ratio
Silver is about 17 times more abundant than gold in the earth’s crust. Silver and gold prices were close to this ratio for most of history. These facts make many investors think that the GSR should be 17-to-1 and that eventually it will be.
They may be right, but we’ve never found the GSR to be a strong predictor of gold or silver prices. To us, the GSR “suggests a lot but proves nothing.”
Conclusion
As for guessing the future, we have no crystal ball. We can say that Louis’ case for 2015 as a win-win year for silver is backed by the numbers.
P.S. If silver moves off its current level of $15 and into the $20 or $30 areas, silver investors could make large gains. But owners of a unique silver-related security could make gains that are five... 10... even 100 times greater. And right now is a once-in-a-decade chance to buy them very, very cheap.

It's Time for Mike Seerys Weekly Gold and Silver Market Summary
We've asked our trading partner Michael Seery to give our readers a weekly recap of the futures market. He has been a senior analyst for close to 15 years and has extensive knowledge of all of the commodity and option markets.
Here's Mikes call on gold and silver. Read more of his calls for this week by visiting here.
Gold futures in the April contract are trading far below their 20 and 100 day moving average telling you that the trend is to the downside after settling last Friday at 1,213 while trading at 1,172 down $22 this Friday afternoon as the monthly unemployment report was construed as bullish sending gold to a 9 week low.
The U.S dollar is hitting another contract high up 110 points putting pressure on the precious metals as I'm currently recommending a short position in the mini contract which is $33 for every dollar move while placing your stop above the 10 day high which currently stands 1,223 risking around 50 points or $1800 per contract plus slippage and commission.
In my opinion I believe the U.S dollar will continue its bullish trend and therefore should continue putting bearish pressure on gold and silver prices here in the short term as the next level of support is at 1,165 and if that is breached I think that we test the contract low around 1,130 so continue to play this to the downside as the chart structure will start to improve later next week tightening the stop and reducing monetary risk.
Many of the commodity and stock markets were lower today due to the fact that United States treasury bonds plummeted this afternoon sending yields higher as now the speculation is that the Federal Reserve will start to raise rates in June which is another pessimistic fundamental indicator towards gold prices.
Trend: Lower
Chart Structure: Solid

Silver futures in the May contract are trading below their 20 & 100 day moving average down about $.30 this Friday afternoon trading at 15.85 an ounce settling last Friday at 16.56 down around 70 cents for the trading week hitting a 9 week low as the U.S dollar is sharply higher once again. I am currently recommending a short position in silver in the mini contract which is $10 for every cent while placing your stop loss above the 10 day high around 16.90 risking around a $1.00 or $1,000 per contract plus slippage and commission.
The U.S dollar is the reason to blame for silvers weakness in today’s trade as I do believe commodity prices as a whole continue to move lower in the short time as the dollar looks to possibly hit 100 so continue to play this to the downside as the next major level of support is 15.50 which was hit on many different occasions only to rally every single time, however if that’s broken you would have to think that the bear market would resume.
The trend is your friend in the commodity markets and the trend is to downside at the current time however if you disagree with my opinion and you think prices are going higher my recommendation would be to buy at today’s price while placing the stop loss below 15.50 risking $.35 or $350 per mini contract plus slippage and commission, however I am currently recommending a short position in silver as prices look to retest contract lows in my opinion.
Trend: Lower

Weekly Gold and Silver Market Recap with Mike Seery for Week Ending February 20th
Gold futures in the April contract settled last Friday at 1,227 while currently at 1,207 down about $20 for the trading week still trading below their 20 & 100 moving average telling you that the trend is to the downside as prices have hit a 6 week low. I am currently sitting on the sidelines awaiting better chart structure to develop as investors continue to put money into the equity market as gold seems to be entering into a bearish trend once again in my opinion.
The next level of major support is around the 1,180 level and if that level is broken I would have think that a retest of the contract low which was hit in early November 2014 could be in the cards so keep a close eye on this trade because a trade could be coming if chart structure improves and that could happen next week.
Problems around the world seem to be out of the lime light at the current time as I don’t see any real reason to own gold as I remain bullish the S&P 500 as the U.S dollar continues to hover around 11 year highs as I think the dollar is in a secular bull market for some time to come as Europe’s economy is not as strong as the United States as that’s also a negative fundamental influence on gold prices.
Trend: Lower
Chart Structure: Poor

Silver futures are trading below their 20 & 100 day moving average continuing its bearish trend hitting a 6 week low as I am currently sitting on the sidelines waiting for better chart structure to develop. Silver prices settled last Friday around 17.30 while currently trading at 16.35 down about 95 cents for the trading week as the trend still remains choppy in my opinion.
Silver prices topped out around the 18.50 level last month as we might be on the sidelines for some time as I would like to see lower volatility as well as a possible retest of 15.50 could be underway and if you are bearish silver prices my recommendation would be to sell at today’s price while placing your stop loss at the 10 day high of 17.40 risking around $1,100 per mini contract plus slippage and commission however I am watching this market at the current time.
Trend: Choppy

Weekly Gold and Silver Markets Recap with Mike Seery
It's time for our weekly commodity futures recap with our trading partner Mike Seery. He has been Senior Analyst for close to 15 years and has extensive knowledge of all of the commodity and option markets. And frequently appears on multiple business networks including Bloomberg news, Fox Business, CNBC Worldwide, CNN Business, and Bloomberg TV. He is also a guest on First Business, which is a national and internationally syndicated business show.Gold futures in the April contract are up $13 this afternoon in New York currently trading at $1,233 an ounce after settling last Friday around $1,235 basically unchanged for the trading week still right near 4 week lows is I’m recommending investors to sit on the sidelines in this market as the trend is currently mixed. Gold futures are trading below their 20 but just barely above their 100 day moving average as the S&P 500 had a terrific week as the Dow Jones cracked 18,000 to the upside as that’s where the interest lies currently as the next major level of support is between $1,180 – $1,220 but sit on the sidelines as the chart structure is absolutely terrible at the current time.
If you have followed any of my previous blogs I constantly stress the fact to avoid markets that are choppy as I think the success rate is very low unless you are some type of day trader but I hold positions overnight so look for another market that is beginning to trend and keep an eye on gold as I don’t think we will be trading this market for quite some time. The U.S dollar is still right near 11 year high and that’s always pessimistic commodities in general especially the precious metals but at the current time I just don’t have an opinion on this market as I think we will chop around in the short term.
Trend: Mixed
Chart Structure: Poor

Silver futures in the March contract are up $.55 this afternoon still trading below their 20 but above their 100 day moving average telling you this trend is mixed as I’m also advising traders to sit on the sidelines in this market as we were stopped out at the 2 week low around 16.71 last Friday as this market remains extremely volatile but prices continue to move sideways. Silver prices settled last Friday at 16.70 currently trading at 17.35 up about $.65 an impressive week in my opinion as many of the commodity markets are sharply higher today due to the fact that crude oil is up another $2 which is beneficial and supportive to many commodity prices thinking that the giant bear markets might be finished.
As a trader I’m always looking for a breakout but at the current time silver looks like it’s in a bottoming pattern in my opinion with no breakout occurring as the real level that you want to look at is 18.50 if prices break above that level I would be recommending a bullish position but at the current time the chart structure is poor so look elsewhere. The one bullish fundamental reason for silver to move higher is the fact that it’s used in electronic components and that business is going to be here for a long time to come so theirs actual demand for silver unlike gold which is just primary used in jewelry as the electronic market should get larger and grow exponentially over the next 10/20 years in my opinion.
Trend: Mixed
Chart structure: Poor

Weekly Gold and Silver Futures Recap with Mike Seery
It's time for our weekly commodity futures recap with our trading partner Mike Seery. He has been Senior Analyst for close to 15 years and has extensive knowledge of all of the commodity and option markets. And frequently appears on multiple business networks including Bloomberg news, Fox Business, CNBC Worldwide, CNN Business, and Bloomberg TV. He is also a guest on First Business, which is a national and internationally syndicated business show.
Gold futures in the April contract are currently trading at 1,277 up around $21 an ounce with extreme volatility after selling off more than $30 in Thursday’s trade while settling last Friday at 1,293 going out this Friday afternoon around 1,276 finishing down $17 in a wild trading week. Gold futures topped out slightly above $1,300 as profit taking ensued as prices are still trading above their 20 and 100 day moving average and I’m still recommending a bullish position and if you took that original trade place your stop loss below the 10 day low which now yesterday’s low at 1,252 risking around $24 from today’s price levels or $2,400 risk per contract plus slippage and commission.
As I’ve talked about in many previous blogs I do think gold is now being used as a currency due to the fact that the Euro currency and many foreign currencies are absolutely falling out of bed as interest rates in many countries have gone negative so who wants to place money into a bank and lose money as investors now prefer gold which has no dividend but still it’s better than a negative return. Volatility in many of the commodity markets is very high at the current time especially the precious metals and I expect that to continue despite the fact that the U.S dollar hit an 11 year high continuing its secular bull market in my opinion as I do think 100 is on its way in the next several months as the United States economy is doing much better than any economy worldwide.
Gold futures have rallied from a contract low of 1,130 all the way up to about 1,310 in the last several months as money is finally starting to come out of the S&P 500 sending money flows back into the precious metals also sending high volatility which I think is here to stay especially with all of the worldwide problems
Trend: Higher

Silver futures in the March contract are up $.50 this Friday afternoon in New York currently trading at 17.30 an ounce settling last Friday at 18.30 finishing down about $1.00 for the trading week with extreme volatility as Thursday’s trade pushed silver lower by over a $1.25 as I’ve been recommending a bullish position in this market when prices broke above the 17 level and if you took that trade continue to place your stop loss below yesterday’s low around 16.71 still risking around $.60 from today’s price levels.
Silver volatility is extremely high at the current time so make sure that you use the proper amount of contracts risking only 2% of your account balance as I like to trade the mini contract which is $10 a cent versus $50 a cent on the large contract as high volatility has also entered the S&P 500 and the currency markets in recent weeks.
The stop loss will remain at that level for the next 8 trading sessions so you’re going to have to be patient if you are long this market. As I talked about in previous blogs I believe silver is now being used as a currency due to the fact that interest rates around the world are so low that investors are looking at silver and gold as a currency replacing traditional paper currencies as nobody wants to own anything in Europe.
Many of the commodity markets continue to head lower however silver and gold are the only 2 commodities that I am bullish but the problem here is if the rest of the markets continue to head lower silver and gold gains could be limited so just place the proper stop loss and if we are stopped out look at another market that is starting to begin another trend.

Mike Seerys Trading 101...."When Do You Enter A Trade"
What are your rules to initiate a trade on the long or short side of the commodity market? I have been asked this question many times throughout my career and my opinion is simply to buy on a 20-25 day high breakout in price on a closing basis only or sell on a 20-25 day low breakout to the downside also on a closing basis. Many times the price will break the 25 day high and sell off later in the day only to have your trade be negative very quickly.
I would rather buy the commodity at a higher price on the close because that gives me more confidence that the market has truly broken out. However there are more ways to skin a cat and this is not the only answer because some other trading systems might rely on different breakout rules that have also been reliable.
Remember always keeping a 1%-2% risk loss on any given trade therefore minimizing risks because the entry system I use always goes with the trend because I have learned over the course of time the trend is truly your friend in the long run. I also look for tight chart structure meaning a tight trading range over a period of time with relatively low volatility. I try to stay away from a crazy market that hit a 25 day high in 2 trading sessions versus the 25 high that actually took 25 days to create.

Weekly Gold and Silver Futures Recap with Mike Seery
Our trading partner Mike Seery is out with his calls for this week and he includes some of reliable rules to protect our profits.
Gold futures in the February contract are slightly lower this Friday afternoon in New York after settling last Friday at 1,216 currently trading at 1,260 as I’m currently recommending a long futures position while placing your stop loss below the 10 day low which is around 1,209 risking around $50 or $1,650 on a mini contract plus slippage and commission. Gold futures are trading above their 20 and 100 day moving average hitting a 5 month high as the chart structure will also start to improve on a daily basis starting next week as the market has caught fire recently due to worldwide problems as money is pouring back into the precious metals and out of the S&P 500 in the beginning of 2015.
Yesterday the Swiss government announced they will let the Swiss Franc float rocketing that currency up while sending shock waves through the bond and currency markets and it certainly looks to me that problems are here to stay here for a while as Europe is a mess and this could push gold up to the next resistance level of 1,300 – 1,320 so take advantage of any price dip while maintaining the proper stop loss risking 2% of your account balance on any given trade as gold has finally turned into a short-term bull market once again.

Silver futures are trading above their 20 day but right at their 100 day moving average settling last Friday at 16.12 while currently trading at 17.05 an ounce as I’m recommending a bullish position in silver while placing your stop below the 10 day low which is at 16.11 risking around $.90 or $4,500 per contract plus slippage and commission as the chart structure will also improve on a daily basis starting next week. The next major level of resistance is between 17.35 – 17.50 and if that level is broken I would have to think that silver prices have a chance to reach $20 here in the short term as once again money is flowing into the precious metals and out of the stock market for the 1st time in several years as investors are thinking that silver may have been overdone to the downside.
Many of the commodity markets continue to head lower as there is weak demand throughout many sectors due to the fact that the U.S dollar is at a 9 year high while silver & gold prices have also been in bearish trends until recently, however with what’s going on in France and Isis running havoc throughout the Mideast people are finally looking at the precious metals as a safe haven once again so the rest of the commodity markets can go lower with gold and silver still moving higher but play by the rules as the chart structure meets criteria in my opinion.

Mike Seerys Weekly Gold Market Recap for Week Ending Friday December 19th
Gold futures in the February contract are trading below their 20 and 100 day moving average settling last Friday in New York at 1,222 currently trading at 1,196 continuing its long term bearish trend as I’m currently sitting on the sidelines in this market as volatility is too high and the price remains extremely choppy as we head into the new year.
Gold prices rallied as high as 1,240 last week before settling back despite the fact that the stock market had a wild ride but the interest still is in the S&P 500 which looks like it’s going to close right near another record high today. The problem with the gold market is the ETF market in gold might be sold come year end for tax purposes and when that happens the ETF than has to sell the futures contract so I still think lower prices are ahead but this market is difficult to trade at the current time so move on and find a market that is trending strong in one direction.

The U.S dollar hit another multiyear high which is generally pessimistic commodity prices and especially precious metals prices, however with turmoil in Russia gold prices have been extremely volatile with many $30/$40 price ranges on any given day so if you do trade this market make sure you place the proper amount contracts limiting risk to 2% of your account balance as I have to admit it’s fun to watch but I remain on the sidelines until a true breakout occurs.
Rumors of Russia having to sell some of their gold reserves sent gold prices down nearly down $30 in Wednesday’s trade however that rumor has not been verified at the current time but with the problems in Russia it would not surprise me about anything.

Weekly Gold and Silver Market Recap - Stops and Trading Numbers
We've asked our trading partner Michael Seery to give our readers a weekly recap of the gold and silver futures market. He has been Senior Analyst for close to 15 years and has extensive knowledge of all of the commodity and option markets......
Gold futures in the June contract settled last Friday at 1,309 while going out today around 1,290 down by about $20 for the trading week as the Ukrainian situation has stalled sending gold prices back down into the recent trading range. Gold futures are trading below their 20 but right at their 100 day moving average as prices have been consolidating in the last 5 weeks trading in a $30 range as I’ve been sitting on the sidelines waiting for a better chart pattern to develop but if you are looking to get into this market on the long side I would buy at today’s prices placing my stop at the 10 day low of 1,365 risking around $2,500 per contract and if you’re looking to get short this market I would sell at today’s price while putting my stop loss at 1,310 risking around $2,000 as the chart structure is relatively tight at the current time. Gold prices rallied from 1,180 all the way up near $1,400 an ounce 2 months ago so this is basically the 50% retracement and I think you will see a consolidation for quite some time so keep a close eye on this chart as it appears to me that a breakout is looming.

Is it Time to Admit That Gold Peaked in 2011?
Silver futures in New York continued their bearish trend this week settling last Friday at 19.55 finishing lower by about $.45 for the trading week as I still think there’s a possibility that a spike bottom occurred in last Fridays trade as $19 has been very difficult to break on the downside. Silver futures have come all the way from slightly above $22 in late February all the way down to today’s level and from $35 in 2013 so this is been a bear market for well over 1 year as there seems to be a lack of interest, however eventually silver will turn around and join the rest of commodities higher but at this point there’s just very little interest. Silver futures are trading below their 20 and 100 day moving average telling you that the trend is lower and as I’ve talked about many times before if you have deep pockets and you’re a longer-term investor I think prices down at these levels are relatively cheap and if prices went lower I would continue to dollar cost average as there is real demand for silver.

Here's our Critical Line in the Sand for Silver
When Do You Add To Your Winning Trade? This has always been a very interesting question because it can create a situation of going from rags to riches or from riches to rags in a very short amount of time. Many times I see traders abuse pyramiding or adding to positions with utter lack of any type of money management system in place and letting it ride which usually ends up in a complete wipeout of capital and sometimes even worse.
Commodity prices can move very quickly with large gains or loses like we experienced in the 2008 crash of stock and commodity prices, so you always have to use stops and not fall in love or marry a position. In my opinion the answer to this question is add only once to the trade if that position has made you at least 2%-3% of your account balance while still having stop losses on all positions that equal 2% loss at a maximum risk. Remember your stop loses will be different on both positions because of the fact that you entered those trades at a different date and price.
There are many different theories about how long does a meaningful consolidation have to last before you enter a trade on the breakout to the up or downside? In my opinion I always want to see a consolidation that lasts at least 8 or more weeks before I would consider entering. The reason that I want a longer consolidation is to try and avoid a bunch of false breakouts such as a 10 or 15 day consolidations which happen all the time, so I am trying to put the odds in my favor by trading the breakout of at least 8 weeks or more and the longer such as a 11 or 13 week consolidation the better. At this present time cocoa is in a major consolidation.

Doug Casey’s Coming Super Bubble
By Louis James, Chief Metals & Mining Investment Strategist
In many of my conversations with legendary speculator Doug Casey since the crash of 2008, Doug has talked about a coming super bubble.Everything Doug has studied about human nature, history, and economics—from Roman times right up to the present—has him absolutely convinced that the global economy is headed for high inflation, with a very real potential for hyperinflation in the US.
Ben Bernanke's panicked deployment of squadrons of cash-laden choppers has been emulated around the world. The Bank of International Settlements estimates that global debt markets now exceed $100 trillion.
The laws of economics—maybe even physics—say that this inflation, whenever it arrives, must have consequences… and that those consequences cannot be avoided forever.
The easiest consequence to predict, and the one we're betting heavily on, is that the price of gold will move higher. Much higher. That move will in turn ignite a bubble in gold stocks and, as Doug likes to say, a super-bubble in junior gold stocks.
Jeff Clark, editor of our BIG GOLD newsletter, recently illustrated what such a super-bubble can look like, citing figures from several historic bull markets. I hesitate to repeat any of his figures because the right junior stocks' gains when the market goes bubbly are, frankly, hard to believe. However, it is a fact that quite a few junior stocks achieved the much vaunted 10 bagger status (1,000% gains) in previous bubbles, and some even returned 100 fold.
Here’s the essential reason why junior mining stocks are Doug's favorite speculations.
Let's start at the beginning: Doug's mantra is that one should buy gold for prudence and gold stocks for profit. These are very different kinds of asset deployment.
It's particularly important not to think of gold as an investment, but as wealth protection. It's the only highly liquid financial asset that is not simultaneously someone else's liability. Every ounce of gold you physically possess is value in solid form—there is no short to your long. Come hell or high water, it is value you can liquidate and use to secure your needs. That's why gold is for prudence.
Gold stocks are for speculation because they offer leverage to gold. This is actually true of all mining stocks and, more broadly, of stocks in commodity-related companies; they all tend to magnify the price movements in the underlying commodity. But the phenomenon is especially strong in the highly volatile precious metals.
Allow me to illustrate—and in an effort to avoid seeming overly promotional, I'll show how gold stocks' leverage works on the downside as well as the upside. Bad news first: here's a chart showing how gold retreated during October and November of 2008, the worst two months of that year's crash for mining stocks. Also shown are an index of gold juniors and our own portfolio performance. This was, of course, a terrific time to buy, resulting in spectacular gains over the next two years.
Now the good news: here's a chart showing the performance of the same three things in January and February of this year, which saw a major rally in the gold sector.
This third chart shows in one simple yet powerful way exactly why Doug loves buying these stocks when they're on sale and selling them when they go into bubble mode. ATAC essentially did nothing and still shot up over an order of magnitude more than gold. Note that while this third chart looks like the second, the scales are quite different. (ATAC, by the way, is part of my special report, 10 Bagger List for 2014, that details nine companies I believe could show 1,000% or more returns this year. Note that the report was written before the big move upward you see in the chart above.)
It's worth emphasizing that ATAC's performance this year is just on a rebound from recent lows—imagine what a stock like this could do when Doug's super-bubble for gold stocks arrives.
But what if it doesn't? Or worse—what if we already missed it?
I remember a conversation with Doug back in 2011, when gold rose to within reach of $2,000 per ounce. Many mainstream analysts said gold was in a bubble. I told Doug I couldn't understand why anyone would listen to analysts who've called the gold trend wrong every year since the current bull cycle started. I remember Doug chuckling and saying: "Just wait and see—this is barely an overture."
I am certain Doug is right. That's not because he's the guru, nor because I'm a nutty gold bug, but because no government in history has ever multiplied its currency base without sparking serious and often fatal inflation. That's a fact, not an opinion, backed by enough data to make me extremely confident in predicting what lies ahead for the US dollar, even if I can't say exactly when we'll reach the tipping point.
Since that 2011 interim peak, as we all know painfully well, gold has backed off on par with the correction in the middle of the great 1970s gold bull market. But economic realities require that the market turn around and head for his long predicted super bubble in junior mining stocks before too long. That makes the correction the last, best time to build a substantial position in the stocks best positioned to profit from the coming bubble.
And now Doug is saying that he believes the upturn is at hand. He expects a steadily rising market for a year or two, perhaps more, but not many more, culminating in a market mania for the record books.
Our market does appear to have bottomed. It may take a while to go into its mania phase, but it's already heating up. No one is going to want to be short when this train leaves the station—and the conductor has blown the whistle.

Stock Market Trend – Eye Opening Information
My Stock market trend analysis is likely different
from what you think is about to unfold. Keep an open mind as this is
just showing you both sides of the coin from a technical stand point.
Remember, the market likes to trend in the direction which causes the most investor pain.
Since the stock market bottom in 2009 equities has been rising which is great, but this train could be setting up to do the unthinkable. What do I mean? Well, let’s take a look at the two possible outcomes.
Take a look at the chart below which I found on the ZeroHedge website last week. This chart shows the SP500 index relative to positive and negative investor credit balances. As you can see we are starting to reach some extreme leverage again on the stock market. I do feel we are close to a strong correction or possible bear market, but we must remember that a correction may be all we get. It does not take much for this type of borrowed money to be washed clean and removed. A simple 2-6 week correction will do this and then stocks will be free to continue higher.

Also, poor earnings continue to be released for many individual names across all sectors of the market. While corporate profits may be holding up or growing in some of the big name stocks, revenues are not. This means the big guys are simply laying off workers and cutting costs still.
Overall the stock market is entering its strongest period of the year. So things could get choppy here with strong up and down days until Jan. After that stocks could start to top out and eventually confirm a down trend. Keep in mind, major market tops are a process. They take 6-12 months to form so do not think this is a simple short trade. The market will be choppy until a confirmed down trend is in place.

The U.S. dollar is likely to continue falling in the long run, but I do not think it will collapse. Instead, it will likely grind lower and trade almost in a sideways pattern for years to come.

Since the stock market bottom in 2009 equities has been rising which is great, but this train could be setting up to do the unthinkable. What do I mean? Well, let’s take a look at the two possible outcomes.
The Bear Market Trend & Investor Negative Credit
The S&P500 has been forming a large broadening formation over the last 13 years. The recent run to new highs and record amounts of money being borrowed to buy stocks on margin has me skeptical about prices continuing higher.
Monthly Bearish Trend Outlook
Below you can see the simple logical move that should occur next for stocks based on the average bull market lasts four years (it has been four years) and the fact the negative credit is so high again.
They take 6-12 months to form so do not think this is a simple short trade. The market will be choppy until a confirmed down trend is in place.
Monthly BULLISH Trend Outlook
This scenario is the least likely one floating around market participant’s minds. It just does not seem possible with the global issues trying to be resolved. With the Federal Reserve continuing to print tens of billions of dollars each month inflating the stocks market this bullish scenario has some legs to stand on and makes for the perfect “Wall of Worry” for stocks to climb.
The U.S. dollar is likely to continue falling in the long run, but I do not think it will collapse. Instead, it will likely grind lower and trade almost in a sideways pattern for years to come.
Major Stock Market Trend Conclusion:
In summary, I remain bullish with the trend, but once price and the technical indicators confirm a down trend I will happily jump ships and take advantage of lower prices.
Remember, this is big picture stuff using
Monthly and quarterly charts. So these plays will take some time to
unfold and within these larger moves are many shorter term opportunities
that we will be trading regardless of which direction the market is
trending.
As active traders and investors we will profit either way.

Trading the Trend....Is Your Strategy Working?
This week our trading partner Todd Mitchell is sharing his unique trading strategies and we are finding they aren't for everyone. And, especially not for those people who like to use complicated software or get handcuffed to some "black box" trading system.
But it's a great insight into how professional E-Mini traders place winning trades everyday. You have to watch Todd's free presentation "The Simple Truth About Trends"
Todd proves that the key to pulling money of the markets - whether you're trading stocks, Forex, E-Mini futures or Options - is to trade with the prevailing trend. Yet, most people doing it all wrong. They're missing critical clues in price, getting in too late and not exiting their trade before the trend turns.
However, after watching this free video you'll have more knowledge about the trend than 90% of other traders.
Inside this presentation you'll discover:
- 3 Critical Bullish Patterns in Price
- 3 Important Bearish Patterns in Price
- 3 Little-Known Truths in Trend That Apply in all Markets in all Timeframes
- How to Spot Reversals Before They Happen
- How to Determine the Strength of the Market
There's over 1,000 comments of people raving about this content and I'm certain you'll agree it's one of the best presentations you've watched all year.

Weekly Precious Metals Recap with Mike Seery GLD SLV
The precious metals fell out of bed this week especially gold which finished down for the 6th consecutive day trading far below its 100 day moving average all due to the fact that the U.S dollar hit another contract high today trading up nearly 70 points again today as investors are fleeing out of gold and taking that money and placing it in the U.S dollar and the S&P 500 which is hitting another record high again today.
Gold futures for the June contract settled last Friday at 1,436 finishing down about $70 for the week trading at 1,362 hitting a 2 year low with a possible retest of 1,321 which was hit on April 16th of this year. Investors see no reason to own gold at this point in time when you can buy the stock market which seems to go up every single day, however the real story is large hedge funds including George Soros which have been liquidating their gold positions in recent weeks and that is also putting pressure as investors are taking money out of the ETF gold market.

Silver futures for the July contract were down another $.38 at 22.36 an ounce trading below its 20 day moving average and is trading $6 below its 100 day moving average which tells you this trend is very strong to the downside and if gold continues to go down its going to be difficult for silver to rally. Silver looks bearish here in short term after settling last Friday at 23.65 finishing down about $1.00 for the week also hitting 2 ½ year lows. The next major support in silver which was also hit on April 16th of this year is at $21 and if that level is broken you could possibly see silver heading down to the 18/$19 level especially if gold continues to fall out of bed.
Copper futures were a different story finishing up 300 points today in the July contract after settling last week at 3.35 a pound down slightly for the week, however its following the S&P and the housing market more than silver and gold at this point as investors see no reason to own gold because it actually has no real commercial usage but copper is used in housing and many other products with improving economies around the world copper demand should increase but at this point in time I would avoid copper because it does not have a trend while silver and gold have a trend to the downside so if you’re looking to get short this market I recommend selling silver and gold in place a stop above the 10 day high therefore minimizing your risk in case the trend does change.
Trend: Lower – Chart structure solid in gold and silver

Is Gold On The Edge of a Bear Trend?
A close in spot gold below $1679 on Wednesday adds further downside pressure to this precious metal. At the moment, gold is not responding to the economic conditions around us. The recent liquidation in gold triggered a red weekly Trade Triangle. Today’s Chart Analysis Score of -60 indicates that gold is in a trading range. A Fibonacci retracement of 61.8% takes gold back down to $1,634. This market is now in an oversold condition. Long term traders should remain positive for this precious metal. Intermediate term traders should be out of this market at the moment and on the sidelines waiting for a buy signal.

Chris Vermeulen: Recent Market Trends Remain in Place ..... Get Positioned!
What a trading session Wednesday was with the FOMC meeting and the FED coming out leaving the Fed Funds Rate unchanged at 0.25% and saying the economy is looking weak and will not likely to get better any time soon. This wave of negative news triggered a selling spree across the board in stocks, metals, and oil. On the flip side all that money being pulled out of those investments was being dumped into bonds and the dollar currency.
So the question everyone is asking is why almost every asset class sold off after the Federal Reserve’s statement today? The next question is how do we position ourselves to profit?
Understanding how the market moves is not a simple task, if it was that easy everyone would be pulling money out of the market on a daily or monthly basis. With that being said, moves can be anticipated if enough indicators are pointing to the same outcome.
Gold, SP500 and Oil 10 Minute Charts Showing Todays 2:15 FED News
Over the past few weeks we have been seeing stocks, oil, and gold turn bearish with similar price and volume action. Having three major investment vehicles hinting towards a move in the same direction as each other increases the odds for that move to occur. With the Fed coming out with negative news and no quantitative easing on tap, a rally in the dollar was triggered because inflation (printing of money) is not in the picture for some time still.

Bonds and Dollar Index 10 Minute Charts Showing Today’s 2:15 FED News
Now if we look at the safe havens we can see the positive side to today’s news.
Bonds have been trading higher for some time and the key in trading is to trade with the trend. Though it’s easier said than done… In this morning’s pre-market analysis I talked about bond prices and how they are looking toppy but we need one more large surge higher before I will consider looking for a short trade setup. Today’s news sent bonds surging higher which I feel will happen for a few more days. Once the momentum stalls out of bonds, then I may be looking to short bonds using the TBT inverse bond fund.
The fact that there is no quantitative easing planned is bullish for the dollar. Stepping back a few weeks we have seen the dollar index rally very strongly. The move up was an impulse wave meaning a trend reversal from the multi-month down trend. Knowing that the dollar had shifted from a down trend to a strong uptrend prior to the Fed’s announcement today was our tip off to being long the dollar several days ago at a much lower price level.
Mid-Week Market Trend Conclusion:
In short, I feel the intermediate trend (5-20 days) remains firmly down for stocks and crude oil. Silver is more of a wild card because it is more of an industrial metal/speculative investment and it can move at times with gold or down with stocks.......

Looking at gold. I am bullish on gold long term but at this time I remain neutral until I see how the next couple trading sessions play out.
Bonds I remain neutral because they have moved a long way without any substantial pause or pullback and I feel one really positive headline news item could send bonds sharply lower.
The dollar index shifted from a strong down trend to a very strong up trend last month and I feel we could see another substantial rally unfold. I have an 80.00 – 81.00 price target on the dollar index at this time.

Adam Hewison: Lloyds of London Pulls Deposits From Banks on Debt Crisis
As traders, we are bombarded with news. Some of it is useful, but a lot of it is just fluff to fill up airspace time. One piece that caught my eye this morning, which I haven’t seen reported in the main media, concerns the venerable Lloyds of London insurance company. This company was founded in 1688 in a London coffeehouse and has gone through wars, boom and bust cycles, every money mania known to man and has always managed to survive. The article claimed that Lloyds of London is taking their cash out of the European banks this morning. From Businessweek Magazine "Lloyds of London Pulls Deposits From Banks on Debt Crisis"
Quite frankly this is shocking, but not surprising given Lloyds’ survival instincts. Lloyds of London is one of the most conservative companies, run by some of the smartest people on the planet. Perhaps it’s an early warning sign about what could potentially happen in Europe. It is something to think about.
Gold Market Commentary
The gold market continues to bounce along with support coming in to the spot market at $1760 an ounce. We want to pay close attention to the gold market this week, as we feel it is very close to a cyclic low. Here are the reasons why (1) we are at the lower range of the Donchian trading channel (2) the market is oversold, with a possible bullish divergence on the Williams % R indicator (3) the MACD indicator is also towards the lower end of its range and could possibly turn up and give a buy signal in the next several days.
We want to be patient and wait for this to happen. Providing that our monthly and weekly Trade Triangles remain intact, we want to approach this market from the long side. Support comes in around the $1,775 and extends all the way down to $1,750. Intermediate and long term traders should maintain long positions with the appropriate money management stops in place.
December gold closed lower on Wednesday as it consolidates below the 20 day moving average. The low range close sets the stage for a steady to lower opening on Thursday. Stochastics and the RSI are oversold but remain neutral to bearish signaling that sideways to lower prices are possible near term.
If December extends this month's decline, the reaction low crossing at 1705.40 is the next downside target. If December renews this year's rally into uncharted territory, upside target are hard to project. First resistance is this month's high crossing at 1920.70. First support is last Friday's low crossing at 1765.40. Second support is the reaction low crossing at 1705.40.
Monthly Trade Triangles for Long Term Trends = Positive
Weekly Trade Triangles for Intermediate Term Trends = Positive
Daily Trade Triangles for Short Term Trends = Negative

Gold Commentary and Trading Numbers For Friday Morning Sept. 9th
Gold traded as low 1830.00 in the overnight session [bouncing back to 1845 as we go to print] as gold consolidates some of its recent gains. Stochastics and the RSI are diverging and are turning bearish signaling that sideways to lower prices are possible near term. Closes below the 20 day moving average crossing at 1816.20 would temper the near term bullish outlook.
Most traders see gold's long term up trend as still being intact and there is no sign of reversal in that bullish long term move....yet.
Closes below the reaction low crossing at 1701.70 would confirm that an important top has been posted while opening the door for additional weakness near term. Closes above August's high crossing at 1915.00 would renew October's rally into uncharted territory.
First resistance is Tuesday's high crossing at 1920.70. First support is the 20 day moving average crossing at 1816.20. Second support is the reaction low crossing at 1701.70. Gold pivot point for Friday morning is 1849.00.

Golds "Bubble Camp" Gains Momentum, Bulls Maintain Long Term Advantage
Gold closed sharply lower due to profit taking on Wednesday as it consolidates some of this year's rally. The low range close sets the stage for a steady to lower opening on Thursday. Stochastics and the RSI are diverging but remain bullish signaling that sideways to higher prices are possible near term.
If October extends this year's rally into uncharted territory, upside target are hard to project. Closes below today's low crossing at 1791.00 are needed to confirm that a short term top has been posted. Gold's long term up trend is clearly still intact and there is no signal of reversal yet.
First resistance is Tuesday's high crossing at 1920.70. First support is today's low crossing at 1791.00. Second support is the reaction low crossing at 1701.70.

Gold Bulls Take New Momentum into the Holiday Weekend
The gold market put in what can only be described as a solid gold performance. Should gold close where it is presently trading around the $1,873 level, it will be a all time high weekly close in this market. Our analysis of the gold market building support getting ready to move higher was correct, and all of our Trade Triangles are in a positive mode.
With a +100 Chart Analysis Score it would appear that this market remains in a strong upward trend. Short term, intermediate and long term traders should maintain long positions with the appropriate money management stops in place.
Monthly Trade Triangles for Long Term Trends = Positive
Weekly Trade Triangles for Intermediate Term Trends = Positive
Daily Trade Triangles for Short Term Trends = Positive
Combined Strength of Trend Score = + 90
